How To Create An Email Template In Windows Live Mail

Any progress on the Windows Live Mail template problem? I know it's only 3 years since the last post on this subject. It should be simple: merely create a new Draft-like folder, but such that the original email does NOT disappear from it when it is completed and sent to someone.

It was and still is easy to create an email template when using Windows Live Mail.

Create your email.

Alt + F, F

Save as File.

Open the file and finish composing a message. Send.

Thanks for the info. Yes - this works. The slight drawback is that since the template is saved as a file, it is stored not in Live Mail, but in another computer folder (eg. in Desktop). Recalling it from there brings the template back - it can be filled out (and re-used), even retrieves the correct address if started in the "To" field - but the address book itself is not accessible via an icon as it is when you're in Live Mail. PS: Is "three years" a blinding speed for implementing in Live Mail what came with the antiquated Outlook Express 6 or 7 years ago?

Clicking on To, CC, or Bcc opens the list of contacts.

PS: sadly, there will never be another email program like Outlook Express.
